UniSQ’s HDR students hail from across the globe, with many students located away from our campuses, with some, never setting foot on a UniSQ Campus. We understand that as an external student it can be isolating at times. We have a variety of online communities designed to foster an engaged environment, providing an opportunity for learning, conversation and sharing experiences and insights.
We encourage you to join our Facebook Group UniSQ Higher Degree By Research Student Zone. This is a closed Facebook group for current HDR students. Upon submitting your member request you will receive a message from the groups administrator Harriet Redtrain, who will ask you to provide your student number. Once your membership has been approved you are free to post and share content, and engage in conversation.
The GRS is active on X (formerly known as Twitter). You can find us @UniSQ_GRS . We would encourage you to follow us, and help us build our presence in the X community.
The HDR Forum is very important to bookmark, as this forum is used to communicate important university and Graduate Research School messages and information. This is one of the key communication channels for all information related to HDR students. All enrolled HDR students have automatic access to this.
The Postgraduate and Early Career Research (PGECR) group is a community of people who are interested in designing and conducting research, and in publishing and disseminating that research.
We are committed to supporting and facilitating one another to conduct and publish research across multiple disciplines, methods and paradigms. All research students and early-career researchers are very welcome to attend the fortnightly (one-hour) meetings (in person or online).
We also welcome mid-career researchers and more experienced researchers to the group. As well as meeting regularly, we hold two research symposia each year, and we also provide opportunities for editing and contributing to reportable edited books and edited special theme issues of peer-reviewed journals.
