The USQ Wireless Network provides our students and staff with internet access across all our campuses. USQ utilises the eduroam network to provide wireless connectivity.
What does this mean for me?
- Student Internet access is subject to acceptable use conditions and usage will be logged.
- ICT recommends you review the Acceptable Use of ICT Resources Policy
- Access to sites considered to be malicious or not fitting acceptable use criteria may be restricted
- Internet Filtering

eduroam is a wireless service which allows all USQ staff and students to connect to other eduroam participating University's wireless networks using your USQ username and password. To see which institutions use eduroam, a list of participating institutions is available.
USQ WiFi Internal Coverage
All active learning and teaching spaces at all campuses now have 100% wireless coverage. USQ has provided over 1000 WiFi access points over all our campuses. This does not include the Residential Colleges, ovals or car parks.
USQ WiFi Outdoor Coverage
USQ offers WiFi access on the USQ bus service which travels from Toowoomba, Ipswich and Springfield campuses. Access to USQ WiFi is available in the following locations:
- Japanese Gardens
- Gumbi Gumbi Gardens
- Car Park 10 – Solar Panel area
- A & B Quad area
- Three Limes Cafe
As USQ has WiFi in outside and external areas, USQ don't condone the use of devices in motor vehicles, please be aware of the Queensland road rules.
