About USQ Security

USQ Security assists in providing a safe and secure environment for persons and property through patrols of University grounds, security protection services for staff and students, responding to calls for assistance and lost property. Trained and experienced security guards patrol the Toowoomba, Springfield and Ipswich campuses 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are responsible for the opening and closing of buildings and the reporting of any incidents.

After hours access

After hours access is available with appropriate approval and via prior arrangement. Students requiring after hours access will need written permission from their lecturer, signed by the Faculty Executive Manager. Students will be requested to produce their current USQ Student ID upon request by Campus Security. Staff will also be requested to produce their USQ Staff ID when requesting after hours access.

Personal protection service

USQ Security provides close personal protection (escorts) to students, staff and visitors upon campus 24 hours, seven days per week, if available. If you intend to work late at night or require assistance please contact the Security Office on your campus.

Emergency phone

A direct link phone has been installed on the Toowoomba campus to improve security safety. This phone is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is located adjacent to the front door of the Parking/Security Office, Z3 Block.

We also have a number of Emergency Call Points located throughout our Toowoomba, Ipswich and Springfield campuses. You may also like to stay-up-to-date via our Campuses and Maps information page.
